SUMMARY:Mysterious Phenomena: How Honeybees Defy Our Thinking
DESCRIPTION:Mysterious Phenomena: How Honeybees Defy Our Thinking\nHoneybees invite us into an encounter with a creature so wise\, communally-oriented\, and creative that open-minded and careful observation of their activities serves to further deepen the parable and mystery of who they truly are. The books about bees and beekeeping share what is normal and likely\, but often minimize our expectations for what is possible. In this sharing of stories\, which are being compiled into a new book\, Alex shares some of the most interesting phenomena from his first-hand experiences with the bees at Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary\, opening up new vistas for what we imagine is possible\, and allowing a deeper trust in the wisdom of the bees to guide our approach and relationship with them and the natural world. \n \n \nAlex Tuchman is a beekeeper\, educator\, farmer\, author\, father\, and student of nature. As the Director of Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary\, Alex carries a wide variety of responsibilities on the farm\, with the bees\, in the classroom\, and in administration. Alex is the co-leader of the Agriculture Section of the School of Spiritual Science with Sherry Wildfeuer and helps to facilitate the Alliance of Biodynamic Organizations. Alex is a consistent contributor to the biodynamic agriculture and natural beekeeping movements and regularly teaches at conferences in the U.S.\, around the world\, and online. Alex’s book\, A Lively Hive\, was published in 2021\, outlining the basic biodynamic beekeeping methods that are practiced and taught at Spikenard Farm. Since 2024\, Alex has been the Editor of the Stella Natura Biodynamic Planting Calendar. \nMysterious Phenomena: How Honeybees Defy Our ThinkingPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.Name *FirstLastPreferred pronounsEmail *Phone *Address *Address Line 1Address Line 2City--- Select state ---AlabamaAlaskaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingStateZip CodeWhere did you hear about this course? *Terms *I have read\, understood and hereby agree to the terms below *Cancellation / Refund Policy: \nCancellations received up to one week before the workshop date will receive full credit toward a future workshop.
