SUMMARY:Nyack Seed Exchange: Seed Saving Is Botanical Stewardship!
DESCRIPTION:Saving seeds brings art\, health\, and integrity to our landscapes as seeds have intimate relationships with our local soil\, climate\, landscape and communities. With good resources\, some basic understandings and experiences\, seed saving can become a passion\, and we can all do our part in keeping seeds in the public domain. \nOur lead learner will be Megan Durney from the Pfeiffer Center\, a biodynamic educational center in Chestnut Ridge\, NY. Megan studied seed saving with Harald Hoven\, a supplier of Turtle Tree Seed\, at Raphael Garden in Fair Oaks\, CA. She is currently growing over a dozen varieties of seed for a new farm initiative that grows food for the Fellowship eldercare community\, a small CSA\, Farm Stand\, the Hungry Hollow Co-op\, and Threefold Cafe. \nInformation\, and to register: Visit this page.
