To download the Plant Sale plant list\, click here. \nCOVID-19 accommodations\nThe Pfeiffer Center is committed to providing a safe and pleasant shopping experience. Here is what we are doing: \n\n\n\nWe have added a day to the Plant Sale to reduce congestion. Come on any day from Thursday\, May 14 to Sunday\, May 17\, and find a great selection.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe first hour each day (9:00-10:00am) is reserved for shoppers who are immune compromised\, 65 or older\, or needing special assistance. All others\, we look forward to seeing you after 10:00am!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGarden access will be slightly different than past years\, as we will control the number of shoppers in the sale and there will be a clear entrance and exit. Please observe the signs\, and thank you in advance for your cooperation.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo facilitate social distancing\, the plant displays will be spread out over a larger area than usual.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe check-out area will be reorganized to reduce waiting time and congestion\, and to facilitate social distancing.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBefore you come to the plant sale\, please check the plant list (available here) and plan your visit for maximum efficiency.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile you are at the sale\, please remember to wear your face covering\, observe social distancing\, and minimize handling of plants.\n\n\n\nLocation\nThe Plant Sale takes place in the Pfeiffer Center Garden\, across from Threefold Main House (285 Hungry Hollow Road\, Chestnut Ridge\, NY 10977). SUMMARY:Farm & Garden Days
DESCRIPTION:A Hands-On Garden\, Farm and Forest Experience for Children Ages 5 to 13\nFarm and Garden Days is a small (80 participants)\, specialized\, hands-on farm\, garden and nature experience for children ages 5-13. Digging potatoes\, picking peas\, milking cows\, visiting horses and honeybees\, making pizza in an outdoor clay oven\, and more — with plenty of time for swims\, exploring nearby woods and streams\, art activities\, music and games. \nFarm and Garden Days is a collaboration between The Nature Place and The Pfeiffer Center. Activities take place in the Pfeiffer Center’s biodynamic gardens and at neighboring Duryea Farm. \nFarm and Garden Days 2019\nWhen: August 12-16\, 2019. Camp days are Monday-Friday\, 9:00am-4:00pm\, with before-camp and after-camp care available. \nHow much: $925 ($1\,200 for children coming from New York City; includes bus transportation from Manhattan and Brooklyn). \nReserve your child’s place in Farm and Garden Days 2019: Click here to enroll online.
