Our Community
Threefold Community Farm is part of a vibrant network of initiatives many of which are inspired by Spiritual Science, and Rudolf Steiner’s teachings. We are proud to provide hyper local produce and dairy products to our CSA members, farm store and weekly produce stand visitors, community partners, Threefold Café and the Hungry Hollow Co-op, and our neighbors at the Fellowship Community.
Food access is important to us. We partner with groups like Bronx Green-Up Program, MLK Multi-Purpose Center, and Rockland County’s Community Fridge to get safe, healthy food out to the public– bringing people and resources together.
The Farm hosts opportunities for engagement with the natural world to farm interns, volunteers, school aged children, young people with special needs, and elderly members of the Fellowship Community. Our gardens and pastures seasonally bustle with activity of the Nature Place Day Camp, Green Meadow Waldorf School, Neighbor to Neighbor (an afterschool program in collaboration with Chestnut Ridge Middle School), the Otto Specht School and Endeavor 21+.
Other community institutions including Eurythmy Spring Valley, Sunbridge Institute and the Fiber Craft Studio routinely engage with the Farm through practical work and educational activities. Be it assisting in large group harvests, tending to the cows, or sharing greenhouse duties; the care of land, centered around intergenerational community building, weaves all our organizations together.
