The Green Meadow Waldorf School’s FARM KINDERGARTEN will be selling lotion bars to benefit the Duryea Farm. The Farm Stand will be open from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm this Friday afternoon, and the children will have the opportunity to be friendly helpers at the table, taking care of customers.
We are looking forward to this fun and meaningful experience.
The money/donations will go to a much needed shelter for the large round hay bales, which the farmers — Duryea Farm, not the kindergarten — use for the cows.
The creams and lotion bars are created from hand plucked chamomile blossoms from the farm kindergarten garden, are steeped in oil, and infused in the sunlight for many months. They make for wonderful holiday gifts and come in a little drawstring bag. The lotion bars are created with the children’s enthusiastic help.
